仙台市内国道沿いに位置する元新聞社印刷工場の建物をシェアオフィスへ転用したプロジェクトの拡張工事計画。運送会社が所有・運営する建物内には、大小問わずストック可能な倉庫や配送のためのヤードがあり、運送業のノウハウを活かした物流サポートを行うビジネスインキュベーションの核として機能する「人と物を動かすロードサイド型シェアフィス」を構想している。
本計画では入居希望者増大につき、手つかずになっていた幅44ｍ、奥行き13.5ｍ、天井高15ｍの大空間を対象に、17室の貸事務室、貸会議室、オンライン会議のためのブース、バーカウンターのあるラウンジを新設した。対象エリアは、新聞印刷用の巨大な輪転機が設置されていた機械のための空間で、オフィス空間として使うには過大、且つ、性能不足であった。2019年に完了した1期工事と同様に、「物のための空間」を「人ための空間」へ転用する事を考えた。
Project expansion plan for a former newspaper printing building converted into shared office space, located on a national road in Sendai City. The building, which is owned and operated by a transport company, has warehouses and a yard for deliveries of all sizes that can be stocked, and is conceived as a "roadside share office that moves people and goods" that functions as a core for business incubation to provide logistics support through the use of expertise from the transport industry.
In response to an increase in the number of potential tenants, this project aims to convert a large space, 44 m wide, 13.5 m deep and with a ceiling height of 15 m, which had been left untouched, to create 17 rental office rooms, a rental conference room, booths for online meetings and a lounge with a bar counter. As in the first phase of the project, which was completed in 2019, the idea was to transform the "space for objects" into a "space for people".
